  • TOOLS

    WCApasserdoos
The tools of Carel Alexander Walhof were not motorized. Saws, stitch chisels, and gouges were formed and sharpened by hand. The only 'machine' in his workshop was a grindstone, to be operated manually. Rather heavy work. His workshop was further completed by a workbench. He meticulously kept and maintained his tools, and even those of his father, a carpenter: T-square, mitre, square, and marking gauge. Like new after many years of use!

  • Image Left: Successful finishing of grades one, two, and three of the Burgeravondschool were honoured with the donation of a pair of compasses, a chisel set, and a set of gouges. The set of compasses was used by one of his grandsons in later times, with considerably more signs of use as a consequence.
